So, it's the end of the world as we know it and we'll all be out of a job soon?! Well, maybe not, but there is no doubt that the next couple of years are going to be tougher for business than the last two.
Will your business experience a major downturn? It might, but it doesn't have to. In an economic slowdown it is even more important to know where you should allocate your time and focus. Make sure that you know who your key customers are and ensure that you focus on targeting them.
Make more of your existing clients and always ask for referrals. Form strategic alliances with other local businesses that can help.
It is still vital that your name is known so consider all the options that you can eg. PR, advertising, website, events, online campaigns, maildrops etc.
An economic slowdown means that you have to work smarter not necessarily harder.
